Summer Shipping for Clay

During the hot summer months, clay can cure in your mailbox very quickly. When you place an order, I will ship withing 24 hours.  All clay orders go by priority mail which takes 2-4 days for domestic delivery.  International shipping does take a bit longer.  

Priority mail spends most of its time indoors at a post office or on aircraft and from there, taken to the post office for delivery.  
Please do the following:
Plan ahead!  You will receive a notice of shipping with a tracking number, track your package so you will know when it is delivered.  If you will not be home when your package is delivered, make arrangements with a family member, friend or neighbor to pick up your package ASAP to prevent the clay from curing in your hot mailbox.  This will greatly reduce any accidental curing due to the summer heat. 

**Refunds will not be given on clay that has cured while in route to its destination.  The shop cannot be held responsible for clay that has cured in a hot mailbox or on a hot porch.  

PRODUCTS:

The quality of clay is important to me.  The clay I carry is very fresh, not exposed to heat or light.  Keep in mind, clay is shipped by priority mail and it does not spend much time in ground transit.   Any heat exposure will be from the package sitting in the mail cart during the carrier's rounds or sitting in a hot mailbox.

If your mailbox faces the full afternoon sun, please do the following.

Plan ahead!  You will receive a notice of shipping with a tracking number, track your package so you will know when it is delivered.  If you will not be home when your package is delivered, make arrangements for a family member, friend or neighbor to pick up your package ASAP to prevent curing of the clay in your hot mailbox.  

This will greatly reduce any accidental curing due to the sun.

PRODUCT PRICING:

I offer high end items at competitive prices.  Manufacturers periodically increase their prices and require their sellers to offer products at the
manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP).  Not doing so can cause me to lose that product line.
Other things that can affect a price increase would be shipping increases.  We are beginning to see the tariffs have an effect as well as the cost of
labor and oil prices going up, businesses and shipping companies adjust their costs, and those costs are passed down to buyers like me.   
Should my website prices increase, this would be the reason.  

GENERAL RETURN POLICY:

If you received damaged merchandise, please email me immediately at heartofafairy1@gmail.com.  Please include a description of what is damaged and pictures of the damaged merchandise.

Refunds are not given for handmade/custom eyes, downloaded tutorials or DVD workshops refunds will only be given if the eyes/DVD is damaged at time of delivery. CODS are not accepted.
All packages should be inspected immediately.  All claims for damages or shortages must be made within 3 days after receipt of shipment. Return postage fee is not reimbursed.

Custom Orders:  

I am happy to do custom orders on my one-of-a-kind art dolls.  Custom orders depend on availability and feasibility.  Custom orders require a 50% deposit.  Once the art doll is competed, I will send an invoice for the balance due.  Deposits for custom orders are non-refundable.   

SHIPPING POLICY:

All products except handmade eyes will ship within 24 hours of receiving your order Monday - Friday, exception will be for holidays.   If you need to add anything, email me immediately.  I always combine shipping.

Handmade eyes will ship within 3-4 days. Each eye is handmade, eyes are made in the order they are received in. 

Please allow up to 10 working days for delivery on Domestic First-Class packages shipped through USPS.  I have no control on delivery times on international packages.

Please provide a valid email address and phone number on your orders.
I primarily use USPS First Class shipping and Flat Rate shipping.  I do not charge a handling fee on my packages, only actual shipping rates.   
DOUBLE CHECK YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS.  EMAIL ME IMMEDIATELY WITH ANY CHANGES.

I cannot be held accountable for items which are lost in the mail or returned to the shop because the package is undeliverable.  I reinforce all flat rate envelopes as much as possible. All Domestic Priority and Flat Rate shipments have a tracking number.  Once the package leaves my store, it can be subject to weather delays or any other unforeseeable circumstances.  In situations like this, it is necessary to file a claim with USPS.  

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Please read.

International customers are responsible for any customs fees collected by their postal service for the full value of the contents.  If a package is missing, I will file a claim with the USPS for the full value of the package.  I will not reduce the value of purchases.    Customs fees are based on the total value of the contents of the shipment as well as the cost of shipping. International customers should check the fees with their postal service before making a purchase.  

Packages can take up to 4 weeks or longer to arrive depending on the destination and if a package is going by First Class mail or Priority.  I strongly recommend Flat Rate Priority International shipping which takes up to 9 business days to 3 weeks to arrive depending on the destination country and customs inspection.

Please note, I cannot view a shopping cart until after it is paid for.  If you have any questions on shipping, please email me.  Once I receive your order, I will make any adjustments needed. 

PRIVACY POLICY:

I do not share any customer information with any third party.  Since I use PayPal and Square to process payments no credit card information is passed on to me.  Shopping is safe and secure at making art dolls.  

I cannot see any shopping cart contents until after the order is paid for.
I may occasionally send an email on upcoming items or specials.  If you do not wish to receive emails, just let me know to remove you and I will.
I will not distribute any email lists to anyone.
